well. I know that there are no commandments that we can not drink, but I want to say that .
1. Show me the family that is better because they drink.
2. Show me people that are healthier because they drink
3. I will show you millions of lives ruined by alcohol and why do I want to help the alcohol makers out.
4. If I cause an alcoholic to go back to drinking, I am biblically responsible for his salvation.
5. With all the good things to drink in the world, why do I need an alcoholic drink.
6. Is the joy of the Lord and fullness of the Holy Spirit not enough for me, what more do I need.
I conclude that it is not sensible for a Christian to drink.
I gave up Alcohol, drugs, and illicit sex 30 years ago, Jesus delivered me from these vices in my life. Why do I want to go back.
It is like I am giving you a cold fresh glass of water on a hot day and I put a drop of dog manure in it. Will you drink it?? No, it only has a little bit of manure and the rest is good water?? How much of the devil do you want in your life???
God has called us to a HOLY and SEPERATED LIFE, and I don't want to sin.

It's okay for SOME Christians to drink. Paul told Timothy to use a little wine for his stomach aches, but we are also told not to let anything master us. It would be irresponsible to offer alcohol to a recovering alcoholic; thus there is no verse which states that it is good for everybody. If a man is not subject to becoming enslaved to alcohol, he may drink in moderation; there are plenty of verses that tell us not to get drunk, so I say 'in moderation'. It is also fine for a parent to lay down the law in his home, that his children or guests may not drink alcohol under his roof. The verse Leviticus 19:9 applies to the nation of Israel, not to the church. We have freedom. On the other hand, we are told not to use our freedom as an excuse for license. On the whole, if a person is afraid that alcohol will lead him into ungodliness, that is a good enough reason for that individual to eschew booze. Remember, the person who says, "It's only true for YOU" may be seeking an excuse to sin. The person who drinks once in a while but does not need it, and is able to go without it at will, is not enslaved by it. The most common test of being enslaved by drink is when a person makes the claim, "I can give it up any time I want to!" These truths all balance each other, they do not contradict each other.

The entire line of Leviticus 10:9 (not 19:9) is:
When you are to go to the meeting tent, you and your sons are forbidden under pain of death, by a perpetual ordinance throughout your generations, to drink any wine or strong drink.
This command was meant for Jewish priests, not everyday people. And then not all the time, only when they were to go to the meeting tent.
It is okay for Christians to drink alcoholic beverages in moderation just as Jesus did.
With love in Christ.

Yes it is ok for Christians to have a drink or so becausePsalm104:15 says that wine makes the heart rejoice, but while it is ok to have a drink it is not ok to keep on drinking to the point of intoxication and spend a lot of time drinking1Timothy3:8 tels us that "servants of God are not giving themselves to a lot of wine"that shows us that while Christians can drink they have to use discernment and moderation be careful not to get drunk etc

Yes, though it says that in leviticus, we are under the new covenant(the laws in the New Testament). We should still try to follow some of the old laws, but even Jesus drank wine, but he never got drunk. That is the important part. Also, you shouldn't drink if even a little bit affects your judgement or you are underage, but the underage part relates to the Bible's commandments to follow government unless government goes against God's word. The New Covenant is explained in several parts, but the best example is when Paul is told to preach to the Gentiles and eat the unclean food, in his dream.

I Corinthians 10:23-24 reads, " All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient. All things are lawful for me,but all things edify not. Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth. Before Christ died people looked forward to redemption, and were under the Law. In dying Christ was the the redeption for sins past, present, and future. Therefore believers today are not under the law, but under grace. Our relationship with Christ is much like that of a bride to her husband. The pleasure between such a union is best when out of love and not obligation. There is a grace book out that explains this issue very well. "Grace Walk" by Steve McVey.

A Christian is sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption but when you drink you grieve the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

I believe personally that drinking should not be done as a Christian.
Through a Biblical standpoint I do not believe that drinking is wrong when it is done in moderation if one is not an alcoholic or does not have intoxicated reactions.

No. It is wrong for a christian to drink any strong drink. When God saved me He took that desire away. He made me a new person. I no longer enjoy sin, or being around it. Pray, ask God to take the temptation away from you. The devil puts a pretty picture befor your face, but he don"t show you the price you pay for your sin afterwards. I have 2 dead cusins, and 2 dead uncles, thanks to them drinking that mess.
