Try to flirt with him. Give him compliments. Lightle touch his arm or hand while your talking to him. Don't give mixed signals. It just causes confusion.

If he cannot tell you like him ask your self this do you really like him or do you feel the need to have a boyfriend becasue everyone else has one. What you do is a natural product of how you feel and the "acting like you like him" stuff should come natural. I think it's time to examine yourself and say why would I come across as to not exude the message I like you? What are you doing cutting him down in public? Talking behind his back? Really examine yourself.

I don't know how he thinks you should act, but when I'm attracted to someone, I generally get close to them. Emotionally and physically. Hugging, tickling, etc.

Spend time with him. Call him or email him everyday. Say I love you. Give him hugs and kisses. Send him love notes or small gifts to show you care.

That not the reason he is put it on you if you didn't like him you wouldn't like him in the first places tell him why ask more questions to him.
