why do men feel the need to compete with gay female studs?

I have noticed that gay female studs usually have a chip on their shoulder and assume that everyone is competing against them. It usually doesn't take too long for them to start getting all keyed up trying to prove something. This is just a little more pronounced when it comes to men.
