The question of illegal statutory rape is usually decided by the states law and it's definition of the age of consent. That varies from State to State but what you should be more concerned about is if this guy is pressuring you to have sex and you don't feel right about it. If you aren't ready for that situation there is nothing wrong with saying NO and NO should be NO regardless of how old you are or if the law defines you as being of the age of consent. The percentages are astronomical against your relationship if you do give in and have sex at your age. Most guys are on an undeclared conquest to get as much from as many as they can when they are in High School. Commitment is usually so far from their mind. Sounds like to me you have doubts and although sex can be nice there is so much bad stuff and baggage that comes along after wards that it just isn't worth it at this point. If you decide to do it don't decide because you feel he loves you or wont love you unless you do. If he truly loves you or if any guy truly loves you then he will put your personal feelings above sex anytime and will hang around and be that perfect guy until the time is really right even if that time is on your wedding night. If you are being pushed or pressured then my bet is you are his next conquest and within a month or year he's gone never to be seen again and you will just be a memory in his mind and most likely a laugh or two at your expense. That's my opinion and I've seen it far more than I like to.

Depends where you live. In most US states that's statutory rape (even if he's _not_ 18 yet, depsite what other answers have said), but it varies from state to state and country to country. You'd have to tell us where you live (just a state or country, nothing more specific than that) for anyone to be able to tell you for sure.
In some places the age of consent is as low as 14, in others it's as high as 18, and in some places it's illegal to have sex before marriage (no, I'm not kidding). In some places two minors can be charged with raping each other under statutory rape laws, and in other places one person has to be either over the age of consent or over 18 for it to be illegal. So it really depends where you live.
Of course, if you don't have sex it's completely, 100% legal, no matter where you live.
But just a word of warning: if you have sex with someone, it makes it a lot harder when you break up.

First of all, you sound too young (legally AND emotionally) to consent to sex.
ANY sex between a man over a certain age and a woman below a certain age can be considered statutory rape. That means that if it happens, it doesn't matter if you said yes. It's still against the law.
Finally, ANY sexual penetration by a man of a woman who has said NO, is probably a rape. If you say NO, mean it and don't be talked out of it. The best time to make your boyfriend understand that NO means NO is before things get hot and heavy.
It's not your responsibility to give sexual gratification to your boyfriend...not at your age, anyway. If he doesn't like that, find a new boyfriend.

It can't be considered rape unless the two of u have sex. However, if he'll be a senior, then that means that he could go to jail for havin' any type of relations with you because you're a minor.
Love waits...remember that. If he really likes u, and it's a possibility that the two of u can be in love, then just be friends for now, and when YOU'RE a senior, then u 2 can date. If he really loves u, he won't have a problem with waiting for you.

Rape is a word used to indicate that a person forced sex on someone WITHOUT their CONSENT. Are you saying this guy has forced sex on you? That is what rape is. Sex on a minor is an offence also. I don't know enough data to advise you as I don't know your age. But, sex is not just a thing to do because someone else likes you! And it has consequences that are life-long in some cases. I think you should talk this over with a trusted relative that you get on with.
Good luck.

Look up the laws related to statutory rape in your state. It varies. It depends upon what they consider the age of consent and how old you are. Understand, however, that if you do turn out to be underage, the authorities do take it seriously. You may have to chill out for a while.

If he is 18 an you are younger than 18, then it's statutory rape and he could go to prison. If you consent to having sex with him knowing that this could happen, then shame on you. If you care for him or have any respect for yourself, don't put him in that position. If he is forcing himself on you, then that is a whole different story and you should tell your parents and the police.

to know a guy is not rape.please
look up the word rape in the dictionary or go to dictionary.com
Are thinking about having sex with him and you do not even know him yet. Grow up - you are either rushing it or for some reason you think you can only get a boyfriend by giving it up. Don't you have any self worth and self repect?
What planet are you from?
I would consider that a friendship if you hung out together. boyfriend does not mean sexfriend

any sex with a minor is considered statutory rape. you just don't hear about it because both parties are guilty. so if a pissed off dad calls the cops on a teenage boy having sex with the daughter, and the cop comes, he has to arrest both the boy and the girl. usually cops look the other way when it's minor & minor. i don't think they ever look the other way when it's minor & adult.
oh, and if you aren't sure that you guys should really be together, then sex isn't going to shed much more truth on it.
