of course it does.

how could one and only one religion be correct. just as there are many languages in which to speak, so too are there many religions in which to get to heaven, paradise, reincarnation, etc. so when you disrespect others for their beliefs, then you disrespect yourself in the process.

probably not. There are alot of ways to pave your own way to hell, but disrespecting someone's religion isn't necessarily one of them. It depends on the attitude of your heart.

For example, I don't respect atheism. No harm, no foul.

But, if I demonstrate hate, arrogance, or meanness, then THOSE things are sins that will usher me into the handbasket.

Same for atheists. If you don't respect my Christianity silently, or even politely, then we have no problem. You happen to be wrong and have your own way into hell, but that's between you and God.

It's the condition of your heart, as usual, that determines if you go to heaven or hell.

Everyone has the right to believe what they choose; they do not have the right to disrespect people for their beliefs.

But.....some aspects of some religions are barbaric, for ex. the mutilation ritual of girls as an entrance to womanhood.
Or the religious custom of having many wives and having sex with your daughters.
It's very difficult to know where to draw the line or whether or not to draw it. I would guess as long as nobody gets hurt, follow your soul.

As an American citizen, I respect someone religion no matter if their religion is the same religion as mines or not and I do not make jokes about other religions as well. Also, I am willing to tell others about my religion who are not the religion I worship but if someone does not want to hear what I have to say, I am not going to force someone to actually listen to me.

There is only one thing that will send you to hell and that is unbelief. Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins He was buried and took your sins away and rose again on the third day for your justification. Believe and trust in that and that alone and you want worry about others' religion. Romans 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Yeah I think people should respect other comments and not say bad things to other religion .its supposed to be a good thing and people make it a bad thing you don't have to agree just comment in a respectful way, that goes for everyone, because I've seen ALot of bull.if you can't handle others comments go somewhere else.religion shouldn't be a place to bring hateful comments, thank you all that do comment with respect.

Grace unto you, and peace,
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ye have dis-graced my religion by yer mention of hell.

Bible speaks allegorically of only two religions:
- impure religion: imperfect, partiality, corruptible, etc
- "pure religion": perfect, impartial, uncorruptible, etc
http://www.godshew.org/RevelatorySermons7.htm

- Law: legalism, foolishness, hypocrisy, etc.
- Grace: merciful, peaceful, wisdom from above
Ye are not under the law, but under grace, if led of the Spirit

The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
