if niether the petitioner or respondant appear at the OSC, then the case will be dropped. you can also file a Request for Dismissal to drop the case yourself before the hearing date.

however, if you felt the need to file for a restraing order in the first place and the judge agreed by granting it, then you probably need a restraining order against this person. one of our clients went against the RO she filed on her bf and she continued to see him. she had filed the RO in feb and she was killed in may. please, dont take this lightly. good luck

If neither of you show up in court then the restraining order is most likely to be dropped. Depending on who issued the order and for what reason. You can call the courts and they can tell you for sure. Just don't leave your name.

You shouldn't have gotten a restraining order on your girl/boyfriend if you weren't sure that you have had enough. People like you are a waste of our officers time, they'll have to be over there again soon simply b/c you were stupid enough to go back to it.

It will be temporarily postponed and rescheduled for a hearing, and then most likely dropped at a later date
