My mom makes the best mincemeat pie I've ever eaten.
I have to admit, though, I was kinda grossed out as a kid the first time I saw how she made it...I mean REAL mincemeat. Came home from school, saw a big pot cooking on the stove, opened it....
And saw a huge pig's head, snout and all, cooking on the stove. Yes, real mincemeat (not the kind in stores) has pork in it...from a hog's head.
