I met this girl at my church and she's the same age as me, 21, and she also has a 5 year old son! But, I'm not ready to be a father figure. But on the flip side, I think she is the greatest thing to ever happen to me! What should I do? I'm having feelings for her. We just click. She's into the Lord and we are starting to have our own Bible study. please share any experiences. Thank you and God Bless

It is not fair for you to think that she would give up her son. So, if you really want her you have to take the package (and be Happy!!!). I married a lady with 2 children. There were pluses and minuses.

I've dated two men who both had a son. I didn't see it as a problem, and I am 23. One of the guys was 25 with a 4 year old and the other was 28 with a 5 year old. Just be friends with the kid, don't worry about being a father figure. Be there for the woman first, and when the kid is around follow her lead.Good Luck!

it doesn't matter if someone already has kids. don't date someone with a kid unless u want that child around. u will have to learn that her child comes first. if ur not ready for the child to be around all the time them u need to find someone else. don't knock it tho. give it a try and see if u might like the family thing. when u date someone with a child ur not just dating that person ur dating that person and there child. just be good to the kid.

Sure, why not. The child knows you aren't his dad. Just dont get to much involved unless you are ready. You are playing with 2 hearts there.

you dont have to be a father figure...just be a good friend to the son, i went out with this guy when i was 18, he was 24 with a 7 yr old daughter, i was soooo not ready to be a step-mum, but i got along with her great because i was her friend and played along with tea parties and dolls...it was actually quite fun and a good excuse to be stupid!!
and pray to the lord to help you with this situation, tell him what you have said, and ask him for guidance.

i've got self belief like I offered my soul to the place I artwork, I would desire to've in no way took the interest yet became desperate. that is ruined my existence, human beings do no longer take me heavily anymore. I sparkling partitions at a strip club right here in Des Moines referred to as "The Lumber backyard" for a residing. My father laughs at me, my acquaintances snort at me, my lady chum left me with the aid of fact i'm "the guy that cleans partitions on the strip club".

Hun, you have to realise that her and her child are a package deal. If you want to be with her and it sounds like you do, then you have to accept and love her child to. I fell in love with a man with two children. I love his sons to. We married and had four of our own. So now we have 6. The oldest two are not HIS they are ours. I may not be their biological mother but I have looked after them since they were 5 and 7. There were hard times when they refused to do what i asked quoting...'your not my mum'..lots of tears on their side and mine at times..but we worked through it and i'm so glad we put in the hard yards and did it. I love them dearly, honestly, as dearly as my own children and they love me to.

First pray for guidence. Remember that you are a father figure the moment you get serious. I would say that if her son takes a shine to you, there is no reason that you can't make it!

you could be a big blessing to this woman, i have a husband and 2 kids, my hubby works about 50 hours a week and i get very stressed about not having him here to help, but i could not imagine how it would be if i were doing this completely alone, this God may have led you to this woman, if she is a christian, then i don't see why not

I think you shouldn't let a kid twitch your decision. Thats selfish, and not fair. Love her and her child. A child is a miracle. Never forget that.
