I have some used oil from my Chevy, you can have it for free. It WAS Castrol Syntec. Or you can just go to Advance Auto Parts (I used to work there) and get some. I've never tried it, but you might be able to use grape jelly as oil. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I wouldn't put cheap oil in any car. All you would do is shorten the life of the ride. I would go mobil one or valvolline.. Alot of small shops now days use bulk oil and that is not good. Trust me I know i used to mannage a shop and they would order that stuff and not good for the ride. Don't get me wrong the ride will ride but not good in the long run. So don't go cheap bro save the head achs.

Advance auto parts oil is not made by havoline.... heck it even says so... bottle looks the same.... but its made by warren...

As long as it carrys the api gf-4 gas saving label.... it should do, there's stp oil sold at dollar general that carries this for $1.49, theres havoline, and walmarts supertech.... superflo..... etc. All great oils despite the price. Don't go dirt cheap though..... atleast buy a oil that has the latest ratings.

Why would you want to put cheap oil in your truck anyways, all its going to do is ruin your engine. If you want to keep your car running smoothly use either Mobil or Castrol...thats what i put in my Ford truck (just a suggestion)

I would have said the used oil container at the quickie lube but it was taken...

Best bet, as people said is use a name brand from Wal-mart or dollar general type places (with name brand from dollar general about the cheapest depending upon what overstock they bought)

Most expenisve would probably be them 4 cycle engine oil from John Deere or them 20 oz bottles from Briggs and stratton:-)
(talking regular/non synthetic motor oil)

I usually buy the Advance Auto Parts motor oil. Its supposed to be a cheaper version of Havoline, and ive been using it for a few years with no problems.

I use WalMart brand oil. FYI I work in an oil refinery and we fill oil from the same tank for Gulf, Kendall, Sunoco, TSC, and others. There are only so many refineries, and they are all well known. We enen fill bottles of chain case oil for Harley Davidson.
