I believe you can, when you save it...choose the format you wish to save it in then.

If an item is in GIF format it's most likely an indexed mode image. Where as JPEG is in RGB Mode. To go back and forth open up your GIF image

Click on Image -> Mode -> RGB Mode
File -> Save As -> Choose JPEG for file type

To go from GIF to JPG
Click on Image -> Mode -> Indexed Mode -> OK
File -> Save As -> Choose CompuServe JPEG for file type

Load the photo into paint, use Save As - and under file type change to .jpeg. However, I would rename if so you don't copy or delete the new photo.

you can even convert it in paint! hehe,, just upload the picture, click the "save as", then change the filetype! Ü
