In Heaven, probably crying at what humans can do to each other. The whole free choice thing.
But He was there, too, and still here to comfort us.
If you lost someone, I'm sorry, so sorry.
People, have some empathy.
PS>>I just have to let you know that I really REALLY disagree with those who say it was God's will. God wants only good for us. Yes, He can take a bad thing caused by Satan, and turn it into a good thing, but I believe that He would not do this (cause the attack).

It is the failure of the society to understand some basic truths of the harmony of religions. September 11 reinforces the urgent need for harmony in religion. Every one following a religion is on a spiritual quest. There are good people in every religion whether it Islam or Christianity or Hinduism. We should not be complaining of each other but understand and live in harmony. God has rang the bell for this understanding even hundred years ago.I would wish you to read a little bit of Wonderful words spelled by Swami Vivekananda on September 11 of 1893 in the Parliament of religions at Chicago. You will find yourself where God was on September 11, that you think about. It is very sad that so many of our brethren are lost in something what could have been actually avoided. I sincerely hope something again as this doesn't happen again.

For anyone who thinks that God was on vacation on 9/11, this should change your mind. For those of you that know that God was busy on that day, this will confirm it. It also explains how busy God always is in each of our daily lives.
Just because things don't always go the way we think they should doesn't mean that God isn't guiding and protecting each of us individually. Maybe that traffic jam you were stuck in this morning was more than just an irritant!
Dear Family and Friends,
I had a very dear friend question my faith in God right after the terrorist attack on America. Her question was simply put, "Where is your God today?" She was very hurt, as all Americans were, so I tried not to react defensively.
Since that moment I have prayed and grieved over the disastrous events. However, I believe I have the answer. I know where my God was the morning of September 11, 2001! He was very busy!
First of all, he was trying to discourage anyone from taking these flights. Those four flights together ticketed over 1000 passengers. There were only 266 aboard.
He was on 4 commercial flights giving terrified passengers the ability to stay calm. Not one of the family members who was called by a loved one on one of the hijacked planes reported passengers screaming in the background. On one of the flights he was giving strength to passengers to try to overtake the hijackers.
He was busy trying to create obstacles for employees of the World Trade Center. Only around 20,000 were at the towers when the first jet hit. Since the buildings house about 50,000 workers, this was a miracle in itself! Many of the people who were employed at the WTC told the media afterwards they were late for work or had traffic delays.
He was holding up two 110 story buildings so that 2/3 of those present could get out. I was amazed the top of the towers didn't topple immediately when the jets impacted.
For the rest, he was offering his loving embrace as they met their end. Although this is without a doubt the worst thing I have seen in my life, I can see God's miracles in every bit of it. I keep thinking about my friend, and praying for her every chance I get.
I can't imagine going through such a difficult time and NOT believing in God. Life would seem hopeless!

Oh shut up. Get over yourself, everyone knows that bad things happen, so stop blaiming God for everything bad. If there was no bad, there would be no good either because we would not be able to compare good to bad. Everything would just be.
It's not that I am necessarily a Christian, but come on. If bad things happen it is not because God wasn't there it was most likely because it was bound to happen. WWII happened because nobody had the smarts to stop an insane psychopath, and Hurricane Katrina happened because it was hurricane season and no one was prepared. God wasn't not listening or whatever crap you are trying to pull, it was a bunch of psychos who used plastic forks to hijak a plane.
Don't be disgusting and use the tragic event on September 11 to emphasize your point. The people who died should be honored and remembered, not used in a religious hissy fight on Yahoo! Answers.

God has given instruction on how we should live. When we choose to ignore and allow sinful lifestyles, He may give us many chances, but then He may allow things to happen. He isn't the cause, in fact, because of unconfessed sin, we all are responsible, but He will allow bad things to happen. Read in the Bible about Sodom and Gomorrah. Actually, I think God has been very patient with us. There has been a lot more that could have happened. When Pearl Harbor was attacked, they had the capabilities to move on the mainland, but I believe that God intervened.

The problem of evil existing apparently contradicting God being all-powerful has been debated for centuries. There are two possible solutions.
Either God didn't step in to stop 9/11 because he has given us free-will and by giving us free-will he has given up his ability to stop us doing evil things.
Or, slightly more contraversial, God allows evil to occur for the greater good. This is slightly bizarre but in certain circumstances has a good argument. It is suggested that evil allows the human race to grow as people as they learn to battle it. It almost states that evil is character-building.
Personally I prefer to accept the initial one. Furthermore, as pointed out by Futurama, God cannot step into our world and change events or we would in some way become dependant on him to stop every evil event so it would be best for him and sadly us if he didn't.

9-11 was a wake up call from God. America was sent a messaged (Not from Islam) to repent and turn back to Him.
Instead, America's governing bodies with the aid of extreme liberals and atheists have handed God his walking papers thinking they need to God to dig America out of her own grave.
God used Islam as a tool, not because it was blessed, just as God used other nations to punish Israel when she rebelled against God.
Unless America returns to God in unison, and embrace Jesus instead of some phony worldly jive rock and roll or pretentious marketing logo of Jesus - America is destined to become a 3rd world nation. God will send Russia and China on behalf of Iran and other Islamic states against her THEN will turn on Israel.
Only Israel will not go down as easy. She will suffer losses due to her ungodliness (allowing gay pride and other sacrilegious deeds in her borders).., but she will not be wiped out.
God is where he always was. Waiting for people to wake up and see reality. WE NEED GOD!
-------------------------------------------
I might also add God did show his mercy on quite a few the day of 9-11. Untold numbers who normally would have been at work that fateful day, through a variety of odd circumstances could not make it in. God has mercy on whom he will have mercy. God is a loving God but he is a VERY serious God.

He was all around us. God intended for 9/11 to happen because it was apart of his big plan. The people that died in the tragic incident was meant to be. 9/11 was a wake up call for the whole world, and god is always with us.

I saw Reverend Pat Robertson and Reverend Jerry Falwell on CNN the night of 9-11, saying God had finally struck America because America has legal abortion and the ACLU. They seem to mean that God wanted it to happen.

In heaven, God allows us to make our own decisions and men blew up those twin towers. The devil put it in their hearts to do it. Someday after the tribulation and the rapture there will be 1000 years of peace on the earth, even the lion and the lamb will lie down together.
