I am always surprised by how stupid Americans are about this! Do you not read any history at all! Islam has always warred against all other cultures, religions, and peoples since the 7th Century after Christ! Since then, and at this moment, almost every war and massacre of peoples around the world involves an attack of muslims on their neighbors. If you live among muslims you feel this hate. They are proud to hate Western society, Christians, Jews, modern women. In Italy you cannot walk down the street without being insulted and touched by young muslim men who call you whore for wearing a dress!
This question is stupid, the war is by Islam against the rest of the people on the earth. Anyone who has travelled or who has read a factual book knows this. I waste my time answering on a page so full of muslims lying to cover the truth and Americans too ignorant to know what they talk about!
Islam is the source of the terror, so you can only win a war on terror by defeating Islam!

The War on Terror is the war going on in Iraq to get oil and stop terrorism. Islam is brought into the subject because the terrorist were so called Muslims. Islam is a religion of peace so they are not true Muslims.

No. The war on terror is not a war against Islam. However, it certainly appears that the terrorists are radical, extreme Muslims. Not all Muslims fall into this category. The vast majority do not.

no, the war on terror is a war against terrorist who mostly are made up of Muslims, some how they think it is OK to kill innocent people for past actions against them, they can never forgive anyone who is not a Muslim. we are not trying to eradicate Islam but make all those extremist understand there are other people in the world who DO NOT believe what they believe and they shouldn't die because of it. do you remember the Christian crusades, it like that for Muslim extremist now, expect the weaponry is much different and dangerous. the Muslim religions is a few hundred years behind Christianity on being tolerant

But remember not to paint with a wide brush because there are extremists in every facet of the global community.
Also remember the parable of the tares of the field. There is good and evil in the world (field). Let both grow together until the harvest. The harvest is not that far away.

Together, good people everywhere - Muslim and non-Muslim, can fight the war on Terror. Islam, when followed properly, would not allow such hideous acts as terrorism. Therefore, the war on terror can not be described as a war on Islam. Islam is not terrorism.

No one wants to be at war with Islam. If the Islamic jihadists would stop killing people over religion and extremism, then there would be no war. Personally, I think the Islamic extremists WANT it to be a war against Islam, because it validates their belief system and helps them feel better about killing people.
