For a school project I have to research Photographics memories. I have read a lot on the internet so far and a few books. So far, some people say and have proof of people with photographic memories. But, others say its impossible and that these supposed people with "Photographic memories" are just frauds and they use memory techniques.

I was wondering what everyone else thinks. Also, if i could get an answer from an expert.

What I want to know is "Do photographic memories exist?". Please could you also point me in the direction of a few sites about it. Also, my other question is "Can you develop your own photographic memory?". Explain.

Thanks, Daniel

Yes, I believe there is a such thing as photographic memories. I sort of have one, and someone i know has one. My friend is seriously able to memorize something they saw. Like if a teacher put the answers to questions on the overhead on accident, he would SERIOUSLY be able to recite them all if he saw them all. He doesn't even need long to see it. I am kind of like that. Like if I read something or hear some information, on a test I will be able to remember exactly what page (or around it), what the page looked like, and around where in the page, or when I heard it, and what I was doing when I heard it (or what I was looking at). And that happens really quickly most times. I can't really help you out w/ any sites, but I'd love to hear your project!! lol. It sounds really interesting. But I can tell you, you can't get a photographic memory. I sure wish I could do what my friend does!!!!

insofar as different memory tecniques go, yes, photographic memory does exist.

Some people remember sounds better, some people remember feelings or smells, and some people recall images the easiest.

i've got confidence that we are the two born with the aptitude of a photographic reminiscence or that we are no longer. i do no longer think of it is something that we are able to acquire in existence. some human beings would have extra effective techniques that others, yet to have a photographic reminiscence, you would be born with the aptitude.

It is non-existent. Just that someone uses more brain cells for every trivial thing doesn't imply that he has been endowed by a special super-power.

you already have a perfect memory. your routine every day is proof. even if you're not paying attention your subconscious picks up on every smell, noise, sensation.
