Get an ALOE VERA plant...when you have a burn, break off a little piece of it, cut the piece lengthwise and rub the inner (slightly gooey) part of it on the burn,,, If it is a small or light burn, this shoud be enough to avoid blisters forming...If it is a LARGE or very deep burn, see your doctor!
(aloe vera plant is also good for light sunburns, skin abrasions and small cuts)

Any type of first aid cream should help. Apply ice or solarcaine spray.
