My name is Rob and if you believe in god then please pray for me. My GF and I are having difficulties and its random negative thoughts have entered her head and I know its the acts of the devil trying to make us unhappy. I believe with all of my heart that god will fix my problem if have help with praying. just one simple prayer is all im asking. God says if you believe with all of you heart in something then he will have it happen. And i believe shes the one for me in fact i know it. And this is killing me because all these negative thoughts are so random and I know its because the devil is trying to make us unhappy and shes the target because shes not as close to god as i am. And i promised god to give rachel to him and to walk in his footsteps but god also says that when more than one person prays for one thing then he will fix the problem or give you the things you need and believe in with all of your heart. So please just say to god please help rob when you say your prayers!!

I will pray for you both. Even if the answer is not what you want, though, remember that He knows what's best for us better than we do ourselves. Trust in Him to take care of you.

I just said a prayer for you & your girl. But do consider if it's really the devil putting those thoughts in her head. Could be just some insecurities she's having. Take her somewhere nice, take time to talk things thru. You could have your own insecurities as well. Whatever it is, don't get married until you have these resolved. Trying praying Psalm 91 (if you're Christian!) . It can be your prayer for protection for both of you.
Keep your faith and try to get your girl to believe in God too. Keep praying for her every day. GOD listens!!

Rob - I hear you and feel for you. The best prayer I can give is "God's will be done".

You must understand, I don't know you nor the exact nature of you and your girlfriend's relationship, neither do I know your ages. For all I know you could be obsessing over a girl whom is not meant for you.

We humans are short sighted and God knows best. Sometimes God's greatest gift is answered prayers. You don't know what would happen six months down the road or even 1 year or several.

God may have someone else in mind for you, in a relationship that will last. You don't want to get involved and sink a lot of your heart into a situation that may lead to divorce or other hardship later.

You mentioned you promised God to give Rachel to him. Well.., the fact is, Rachel is not yours to give. She has to be the one to give herself to God, not anyone else. God takes us of free will, not because we own other people. Your assuming she is yours already.

The Bible tells us that if we ask for something in prayer and we do not get it, it's because we ask amiss - that is - we ask for selfish motives, and not in the right heart or frame of mind.

It would be so easy for people to pipe in unwisely saying, "Yeah sure! I will pray that you and your girl friend stay together", not thinking, just well meaning. You want to see things clearly, not because you are obsessing over Rachel.

I have been where you are when I was younger and hind sight is always 20/20. She may very well be thinking of ending the relationship, and it may be because God has someone else for her - AND / OR someone else for you.

When you pray, if you are sincere with God and not using him as a Genie to get what you want then dump him.., pray and Ask God to do the right thing for HER and for YOU. Ask him to keep you two together, but stipulate HIS WILL BE DONE.., not yours.

As I said; God already knows what we cant see yet.

Dearest Rob, I do pray that our LORD will turn Rachel's heart away from these evil thoughts. That she may walk more closely with Him. Just remember, that although God always answers our prayers, He doesn't always give us what we want. Trust Him to give you exactly what you need. Trust Him to bring the right woman (maybe Rachel) into your life. He has a perfect plan for your life.

There is no god and there is no satan. If you have problems, you have to sort them out yourself or they will get worse. Praying to your fairy tale father-figure will do nothing. Im not saying this to be mean, but to be realistic and give you the best chance of helping yourself. Stop imagining you have an invisible friend, work out your problems, and youll be amazed how much easier life is.

peace

Usually the devil doesn't have any power over someone who doesn't have any unconfessed sin in their life and who stays close to Jesus in thought and deed, so I pray in His name that whatever reason God is allowing this trial to come into your lives will be made manifest to you so that you can truly don the holy armor of God and having done all to stand.

"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
