Tell your mom to drop the family idea, It's just not very cool ! (saying from the old days) Tell her if she wants to be hip (another saying from the old days) Go get her hair and nails done, buy a new dress, and rent a Volvo ( yeah the sport coupe one!)
Oh and tell her to have a few drinks to loosen her up a bit..I think she's wound to tight and may stroke out! before the fun starts

It depends on the class. My grandpa went to a very small school in a very small town. They have what's called an "all school" reunion, and everyone goes. I went once - it was fun to meet all the people that ever went to the school (that were still alive).

maybe your mom is nervous and needs the family to support her. But you are correct. It's weird.

Yeah, that's a little strange. Maybe you should ask her about it. There is probably a good explanation.

Weird to me... It's not a reunion.

This is very strange. Is she divorced or a widow?

Unusual, perhaps. Whatever floats her boat. Me? I don't even bother with them.
