I took a comedy improv class, but it wasn't summer school. One game we played was "Pieces of Paper" (which I believe was also used in "Whose Line Is It Anyway?") where you take quotes from odd books, plays, or movies (or popular ones, it doesn't matter) then fold them up and leave them on the ground. You start a scene, then every minute or so pick up one of the pieces of paper, read it aloud, and try to incorporate the flow of action into whatever was read. Another game was where you name a sport, a noun, and a famous person, then whatever the items used to usually play the sport get replaced by the noun you named (say a watermelon instead of a basketball), and you play the game as if you were playing it with the celebrity. Another game I have seen in Utah is one where you keep repeating the same scene over and over, but each repetition is done in half the time as the one before, so by the end you have about 4 seconds to present just the most basic of elements and movements and words. Did you just want ideas to use for your group? Hope these help.
