Color always fades, where the blonde just grows out because your own color was bleached out. If you got a semi-permanent color, in a neutral medium brown and put it on all over, your blonde would take it too, but not as dark so you would still have light brown hi-lights. That's one option. Unless you were born with black hair, or have black-brown hair already, true black is usually too harsh.

you can dye your hair black, but get a hairdresser to do it, seen as you put blonde in it, if you go straight over it with a black, the color wont be black, it would turn out a really yucky browny color, its hard to describe but it just looks yuck!!

i don't know what you should do about your hair since it is apparently dead..the word you want to use for colouring hair is spelt d-y-e.
