How many regular scoops, made with a standard ice cream scoop, of ice cream makes 1/2 cup?

It's an average-sized scoop, I guess.... I don't really know....

well, it's tricky b'cuz there is no standard ice cream scoop. I owned an Ice Cream store and usually a small is 3-4 oz (measured by weight) and a cup is 8oz (measured by volume) . I would either wing it and figure 2 small scoops or I'd be super exact and actually fill a 1 cup measure with ice cream and then scoop it out to find out how many of your scoops it is.

I think 2-scoops equal a 1/2-cup. One-scoop is probably a 1/4-cup.

It depends on the size of the scoop, but I would say it's an average of about 2 scoops= 1/2 cups
