Well, it depends on what you mean by these things. Each of us is totally amazed at how fantastic our own kids are - we are all convinced that they are doing wonderful, never before seen feats at amazingly young ages. I was convinced that my first kid was talking at 6 months old.
Having said that, when I told my mom how amazed I was that my kid was sitting in the high chair alone - she laughed when she saw the pillow I had wedged in there with her. Naturally I would put the pillow in, she would fall out otherwise - mom said "then she is not sitting in the high chair on her own."
I am sure that your super baby is full of the amazing and wonderful awe inspiring talents that mine is, but we need to take all this stuff with a grain of salt (but in my mind, I will always think that my little girl was talking at 6 months old! lol!)
Peace and blessings to you and yours!

This is very possible...my son who is now 2 years old, started holding his head up shortly after birth, but really good at 4 weeks and was crawling by 4 months and started walking at 10 months....so yes it is possible and it doesn't mean that any thing is wrong with him...I just say that he's more advance then other kids...which could be a good thing. But by the time he reaches two be prepared to run a marathon because they don't slow down, they only get faster. Good luck and God bless you and your baby!

All mothers want to think their baby is exceptional. It would be highly unlikely a 6 week old baby could do any of that, except holding its head up. Physically their muscles just arent toned well enough for the rest. If its true...take him to the doctor and have it documented cause he maybe the reincarnation of Jesus Christ lol. If its not true, calm down and be patient. Stop wishing the childs life away. It will all happen when its meant to - in his own good time.

My daughter was like that. She did everything very early. She pulled up on the furnature at 2 mos and crawled at just over 4 mos. She is now 10 and has been ahead of her class since she started school. Sounds like maybe you bave a gifted baby.

new parents tend to compare their child with what is considered to be the 'norm'. It's okay up to a certain extent. You need to realize that not all babies develop at the same rate. Some will develop faster, others slower. So long as there is nothing physically or mentally wrong with him, I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't know if I am able to believe that he is barely 1 1/2 months old and he is doing stuff that a 4 or 5 month old would do? Well, if it is true than more power to you and your kid.

focus on his fine motor skills. like looking at things for a long time. or lay him on his belly and pull toys away until he trys to reach them then give it to him. you need to spread his strengths out. he is learning too many regular motor skills. teach him things that will keep him busy. or his bones wont develope correctly and might end up with a bad back when he gets older.
