according to historians moon worship is a very ancient pagan religion. how come that muslim religion claim that they have the truth and yet they use pagan symbol. why not use other symbols such as big sword and sickel. why not big guns and knife, why the crescent symbol? please educate me, my very religious friends...

Why not a crescent moon? And why don't you read the answers to your other questions instead of spewing out more questions that are thinly disguised rehashes of the same Muslim-bashing rhetoric. Please educate us.....

No, the Muslims are not moon worshipers. The crescent is rejected by many Muslims as a proper symbol for Islam. Many do use it, but it is more of a cultural thing, going back to the caliphate of the Ottomon Empire I believe.

Muslims are specifically instructed to worship no part of the creation, and to ONLY worship the Creator. In no way can they be said to worship the moon.

Muslims don't worship the moon. It is just a symbol. That was adopted long after Islam was established. Do Christians pray to a cross? Do Jews pray to the star? Do Buddhist pray to the symbol for the eight fold path? No they are just symbols.

well, to your knowledge, there is a solar calendar system consisting of twelve months and 24 hours a day and there is the lunear calendar system that muslims use as calendar system no more no less, without worshiping as you wrongly stated...

it is well know in astrology that the earth turns aroud itself in 24 hour and around the sun in 365 / 366 days, the moon too turns around the earth in almost 29 days and few hours making it one month from the start of a moon/ cresent phase to the end and every start is a start of a new month according to the islamic calendar which is constituted of 12 months two ...

things are just as simple as that, it has nothing to do with worshiping...

Allah doesn't meant moon god jellybeanfury..do some research first..we muslim doesn't worship anything else except allah(god)..moon it just a symbol..the arabs use moon to calculates month..when to fast or anything..that's all
