And dont say "brush your teeth" because i've tried that like twice and it didnt work. Sometimes when my breath blows back in my face, I think its a fart (especially in the shower). Please don't say anything mean in your answer, I'm very sensitive.

I would suggest, and it is only a suggestion, that you stop breathing in your farts in the shower. You sound like you've got a lot more problems than just bad breath.

Halitosis is the medical term for "bad breath" and many people suffer from overly bad breath for one reason or another.

If you are brushing your teeth twice a day for at least two minutes long each time, then the culprit could be in your toothpaste or mouthwash. Make sure they are BOTH alcohol free. Alcohol dries out your mouth and makes your breath worse (i.e. ever hear of beer breath?). A good alcohol-free toothpaste and mouthwash is Listerine. It's pretty strong, but it does the job.

Also, you might want to buy a tough scraper (they are rather inexpensive). They can be found at most drugstores, or ask your dentist if he has one for you. Use this every time after you brush. It will scrap the extra bacteria off your tongue, even way back near your tonsils. Bacteria is the cause of bad breath. Limiting the amount of bacteria in your mouth is the best way to get rid of halitosis.

If you chew gum throughout the day, don't chew gum with sugar in it; that may worsen the problem. If you don't already floss, flossing daily is a good way to get bacteria out of crevices in your mouth where your toothbrush can't reach. If you are a smoker, for goodness sake, please stop smoking. Smoking, over time, deteriorates your gums and gives smokers a sort of "rotting flesh" breath. If nothing changes, it may be time to see your dentist. He or she may have some tricks up his or her sleeve to help you.

Good luck!

I wouldn't think of being mean to you...you have enough problems already! But, I want to point out to you that, although you have brushed your teeth twice, did you ever think that perhaps the third time would be a charm???? And Lester, come on now, admit it...you did fart in the shower, didn't you! I want to point out to you that there is one advantage to having breath like yours..if you are in mixed company (doubtful, but not mean) no one will be able to discern whether you have farted or not! It will all smell the same. That, at least, is a small perk to cheer you up.

Read the book "Hydrogen Peroxide, The Medical Miracle" by Douglas Campbell or vice versa. It has a section which addresses this issue. In a nutshell, the sinus cavities could be the culprit instead of many other commonly accepted reasons. A homemade nasal spray of hydrogen peroxide and distilled water has worked wonders for many people. There are numerous testimonials from many people who have used this method for years with outstanding results.

Wow!

Well, it *does* sound like a trip to the dentist may be in order, but first...

...you may want to try flossing very well before you brush - at least twice a day. And then mouthwash afterwards.

The smell will come from bacteria, and the flossing combined with the mouthwash will go a long way to helping your problem. but see a dentist, too.

Food particles get caught between teeth, the particles decay, and that is the most common cause of bad breath. Periodontal disease, also, can cause bad breath, but if you have regular check-ups at the dentist you don't have that problem.
To fight bad breath you need to use oil of cloves. You can find it in a health food store and, perhaps, a grocery store. Good luck !

Okay, Well, If I you brush you teeth enough I would get a stronger toothpaste. Sometimes it's not your fault about your breath because the toothpaste isn't strong enough. If you are really desprate, don't eat spicy foods. You could also chew gum -- I can't because it makes me sick, so that could be faulty -- or eat breath mints like tick tacks.

I'm glad you have asked this question! My grandfather has bad breath and i have been waiting on him to ask me this.
OK Listerine work fine! but it doesn't last all day long either. Gum any kind of gum works fine but try 'trident" it works great and even lasts longer. It will do fine it only costs $1.19 you'll wish you would of thought of this sooner. good luck.
