My mom once told me that when an egg is done it will spin rapidly when you put it on a level surface. I tried it and it is really true!!!! Now go spin an unboiled egg and see how slowly it spins. (by the way spin it horizontally not vertically)

I would boil an egg for at least 3 Min's after the water has boiled. Leave the egg in the water after you turn the stove off to make sure the egg is definitely hard boiled.

Everyone has thier own way of doing this. I boil it for around 15 minutes, but then I turn off the stove and leave it. I let the egg remain in the water until it is completely cool. I always get perfect boiled eggs that are easy to peel.

A hard boiled egg is called a ten-minute egg. Put it in the water, bring it to a boil, turn the heat down to medium-high and gently boil it for ten minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water twice. Peel immediately. The yolk will not be gray on the outside. If you must wait to peel until later, leave the egg in the rinse water. Just before peeling, re-rinse in hot water. This will help it peel easier. Also, very fresh eggs tend not to peel as easily as eggs that are not so fresh.

Put the eggs in COLD water(about 1-2 inches above the height of the eggs). Bring the water to a boil. Then put a lid on and pull the pot off of the burner. Let it sit for 18 minutes. Then take the eggs out-a slotted spoon works best-and put the eggs in COLD water. When they have cooled, enjoy!
