Why do shower farts smell so bad? Is it the humidity or because the space is so small? One day, my mom and my brother both farted when we were in the shower and it stunk so bad my sister threw up!

Its probably your breath blowing back in your face, and not the fart at all.

Usually, when you fart, your body puts a naturally occurring powder-like substance into your fart air to make the odor less offensive. When you fart in the shower, the water weighs this powder substance down, allowing your fart to escape "pure", thereby, causing it to smell worse than normal.
When multiple family members all fart at the same time, this will obviously cause the weaker members of your family to have an episode of retching.
To avoid such displays of weakness, refrain from showering with family members

its a combination of all things. the small space, the steam, and the fact that the heat is rising up from the shower so the smell has no place to go but up to your face. and whats up with you all taking a shower together?? mom and brother in the shower, AND sister?

It could smell worse in the shower for two reasons. First, the stinky air has nowhere to go, and remains concentrated by the time you smell it. Secondly, you don't have your pants on to absorb any of the smell. If you don't believe me that your pants absorb the fart smell, smell them after wearing and farting in them all day.

You fat f^ck! And why is your Mom and your brother showering together? Do they have a "special" relationship? Sick!
You and your family should get help! Tell your Mom to stop showering (and/or doing it) with your brother and get a lot of air fresheners!

Farts are mainly ammonia gas, which reacts to oxygen. Water has a high oxygen content, so it increases the reaction as it passes through. Try farting in the bath, it's worse.

I think it's the mixture of the small space and the gas...I strongly reccomend a water-resistant gas mask while trying anything like that!
