My step son has lost his first molar. He is 10 years old. I have no idea what amount to leave. His mom is in rehab and his father is at work til 3am. I don't want to leave a note for his dad, because my step son may see the note. Please help.

The first time they lost a tooth you should have done something special. At the age of 10 you should just give them a couple of dollars or some loose change.

I think a fiver should do. If you leave a buck and the "tooth fairy" usually leaves more then your in a pickle....at least this way you can always say that it was a molar and they're worth more if he usually gets less. Best wishes
