Awww, poor guy. Try rice dishes. Also, if you make homemade mac and cheese it is generally really mushy. Better yet, buy a bunch of mac n cheese pot pies, those things are mush in a bowl. And you can nuke them. You can also make soups, especially creams or broth based. Nothign chunky obviously. And oatmeal for breakfast.

anything he liked can be run through a food processor until pureed and put on his plate in individual helpings , or if he has just got his teeth pulled then add some water or broth and liquefy the food and serve individual helpings in bowls

How long has it been? I can eat a lot of stuff without my teeth. In fact, I have a harder time eating WITH my dentures. I never eat out so it works for me.
If it is new to him it will take some adjusting.
Oatmeal, Farina, scrambled eggs, mushy corn flakes, egg salad, tuna fish, spaghetti cooked well, hard boiled eggs...BEST of all CHOCOLATE feels sooooo good on naked gums (ha ha)

My friend used to boil chicken, rice, carrots, potato, spinach and mix with some salt and pepper (spices to your liking) and she boils for a while till everything is tender and she puts it in the blender. She used to make this for her baby but I always ate it too cause it was soo yummy.
