there is also an advisor that tells you if your question has already been asked, but apparently you didnt use it (i already answered this once) just as other people don't spell check :P

Judging from what I have seen, there are many people who ask questions for whom english is not their first language. There is even a possibility that they don't know what "check spelling" means. Other people just don't give a flying fig newton if they are spelling correctly or not. Personally, it doesn't bother me that much. What does bother me, is all the nasty dirty language. Now there is a language problem. They need a little "check language" tab for that. Do those people talk like that all the time? With their family, with their friends? Yuck!!

Because people are beginning to realise that content is MUCH more important than form. I'm more worried when the answers are silly, shallow, prejudiced or simple repetition of what other people have said, without any thought of their own. That (even with a perfect spelling) is alarming. And the spell check feature does not help you with that.

Haha. I think this every single time I read a question. I always wonder if they are using a really bad english translator and not native english speakers. Who knows...people probably don't see the spell check option.

So then you must use the spell check, which means you have bad spelling, so did you just dis yourself?

Noone can spell every word in the english language and as long as you know what i just said, then it is not worth my time to worry about spell check.

this is not grade school and we are not being graded on our spelling and grammar

spell checking can only help you when you are able to correclty choose the correct word from the list. Spell checkers are generally useless when it comes to computer slang - u no wot eye meen?
