no its a really hard fruit thats filled with with milk, and a hard edible layer on the inside.

No a coconut is not a nut. It is a fruit. A nut is, for example, a pecan. Just like a peanut is not a nut but a legume.

No, it is a seed. When you plant it, a coconut tree should come out, but I would not advise it...
