The Basenji breed is biological/physically incapable of barking.
They can still growl.
I have a Basenji-Huskey mix that has an odd half-bark/half-yodel.

Basenji is the only dog that really doesn't bark, but trust me - you don't want one! They have every other bad habit in the book! They will drive you insane in less than 2 years.

The Basenji cannot bark but it does growl, whine, whimper with the best of them.It can also let out a ear-pitched yodel or scream. You can train your dog not to bark and that's with any dog and time and patience.

all dogs bark. It's how the speak. If you can't handle the barking, then i'd suggest getting a different type of animal.

A hot dog?
Seriously though, it is the Basenji. http://www.basenji.org/
Here is another cool site with a bunch of other dog trivia
http://www.indianchild.com/dogs.htm
Examples: dalmatians (spotted dogs) are born white, and basset hounds can't swim - their legs are too short to keep their heavy, long bodies afloat.
Have a great day!

What "The Grew Pawn" said. I've actually seen one in real life. They don't bark. They do make noises, however, but it's not as obnoxious as barking. They are pretty rare, though.

A basenji makes a noise, not exactly like a bark, but kind of like a cry.

Training your dog will be a huge part of your interaction with him for the first few months. Learn here https://tr.im/dupnI
This includes housetraining, leash training, obedience training, socialization, and problem solving. In addition to providing your dog with needed skills, this time will also be a great opportunity for you to bond with him. Take the time to really get to know your pet while training him and a loving relationship will easily develop.

All dogs bark except for ones that have been "debarked."
They still bark, but it sounds like a harsh wheeze or cough.
