Maybe not the same as physically cheating, but yes it is. You are sharing with some stranger, what you should be sharing with your loved one. That is denying, them, part of you.

If both husband and wife can sit next to each other while the other is on the chatline and both have no problems with it then it isn't. But if you do it when the other is not around and turns it off when she enters YES it is cheating.

If you're thinking about chatlines and internet chats as a way to meet other people, then maybe you should reevaluate your relationship. Would you rather be single and free to enjoy these things? Or are you just using them to talk to people in a friendly way and enjoy their company, not for some sort of sexual/emotional attachment?

If you are unfaithful to your spouse/significan other in your mind, yes, it is cheating. There doesn't have to be physical contact to be cheating. If you are with someone, that person deserves everything you've got. Don't share with others.
