Should be referred to as "it"

God is genderless, formless, and ageless. You can refer to God as he, him, she, her, or whatever.

One time on an episode of Southpark(keep reading, there's a point to this) they showed God as a short blue elf kind of thing. That made me realize that you should love God no matter what God looks like.

Sure, some people have this image of God as a powerful king wearing a cape of gold with a mighty scepter riding a white horse and stuff. But if we somehow found out that God looked nothing like what we expected, would we still worship him? Of course we should.

"He" or "She" doesn't matter. God is beyond all this trivial categorization. The only things that matter to God are justice and love(in that order).

#1. I don't think that there is any scripture that suggests that God has any sexual ability. So with no sexual ability, I do not think gender is possible.

#2. God is referred to as 'Father' in the Bible and so is generally accepted as male. God is also spoken of as 'He' or 'Him', but that could be a translators choice so that we would not refer to God as 'it'.

#3. If someone wants to make a point of calling God 'She', they are likely just trying to prove a point, make a stand or cause a debate, and I believe that is childish.

Whether God prefers a title of 'He' or 'She', God is still God and is the saviour of my life.

People get so upset over referring to God as "she" or "her," but God is Spirit. God has been referred to as "he" for so long that people think of God as male, but God is spirit. God transcends gender. If we insist God is male, aren't we worshipping an idol? By referring to God in the feminine it's an attempt to give some balanced imagery to our idea of God.

By refering to God as she, you will really upset Mrs God as she didn't realise she'd married a lesbian.

As to the company you keep at coffee, your life must be a hoot! Oh, the exciting conversations, how do you stop yourself fainting? Chocky bickies?

That's a first. I'm christian and have never referred to god as she.
I couldn't possibly say to her that's wrong though Some ppl have different beliefs. He's supposed to look like whatever you picture him to be.. White, black, old, skinny or fat . but to me "Father" (The sign of the Holy Spirit) means guy....
P.S my domination is Catholic... and we don't refer to god as She
...this to the comment above...

Not necessarily. "He" is just a convenient way for people to refer to God. I'd imagine that an almighty, omnipotent God has no need for something as restricting as human gender assignments.

i'm not a christian, so i can't speak as or for one. from my own perspective, a gender specific pronoun is incorrect in refering to the Creator. further (imho) using any pronoun (he, she, it) is disrespectful. I prefer to use titles (like G*d, etc.) when refering, though frequently catch myself, and probably more frequently fail to catch it.

I'm sure there will be hell to pay.
