I think it is a real sign that nothing is sacred anymore. It use to be that Male teachers were the perpetrators and now the women are jumping on the bandwagon. It only makes news when women are the perpetrators than the men. I remember when a Flag corp female (16) married the band teacher (30) and it did not make the newspapers like "Chester the molester" or anything. The kids thought how gross, but that was it.
Today being America still is the male dominated, chauvinistic society that it is. When women do the same things men have been doing all along, they pay a higher price. Just check the jail sentences on Males who "dated" a female 15+yr old students, you won't find many.

It depends on the age of the student, as well as of the teacher, but while I don't personally agree with or condone what took place and I think it was wrong of the teacher to put the student in that situation, but it's in the past and there's nothing we can do about it now.

I find it frightening and appalling, this could have been any ones kid...we need to know who is teaching our kids and we need to keep a close eye for odd conduct, and even if its not going on with our kids we need to take it up with the schools and make it our business to find out who these people are and have background checks on them.
