It means you have not chosen a specific religion, or follow a specific diety.
A better interpretation would be, "without faith"

You are close. Gnostic refers to a special knowledge that only a few people on earth are ever aware of - what they view as their internal deity. Agnostic says they don't believe that anyone has an internal deity. Christianity teachers that the internal deity is not innate, but granted by grace after salvation.

Agnostics believe that there's no way to prove God's existence... but they don't deny the possibility of His existence either.
Like the term implies, they are "without knowledge"-- they don't know if there is a God or not.
Agnostics don't argue against religion. Atheists do.

Agnostic means without knowledge of God. Atheists don't believe there is one, Agnostics don't know if there is one.
