you must out of the US, Ford does not make Fiesta for US, i do not think anyway. It seems like all cars would have that simple safety measure.

All European make cars ie. the Fiesta must be subjected to NCAP testing AFAIK side impact is a major element of the crash testing, so yes virtualy all new cars on the market have side impact bars as standard. Gone are the days when only Volvo built cars like tanks!

All vehicles must pass Federal safety standards and or they Can not produce the vehicle so your vehicle is current to what law was in effect at the time it was MFG good question tho
