i got a perm a few years ago, several times actually and i combed it out...well when i wet it and scrunch it, it's cute and curly, but when i put mousse in it, it's real curly until it starts drying..i thought that if it had mousse in it, it would be stiff, but its just frizzy now..what can i do to keep it looking wet and curly w/o the frizz?

try the vo5 conditioning oil they sell in like a gold colored tube. put it in your hands rub together and finger through your hair. make sure you only use about the size of your thumb nails worth...a little goes a long way. it works better when you put it in wet hair and let it dry then if your put it in dry hair.

Try different products - Bed Head is a good one to play around with. Also Sebastion "Threads" is pretty cool. You can go to Ulta3 if you have one near you. A good way to tell how it will make your hair feel is by rubbing a little dab on the back of your hand - however it dries on your hand is how it will dry in hair. Is it greasy feeling, sticky, dry, etc?
Scrunch it in your hair to give it that wavy look - use a diffuser so that it doesnt get dried out -scrunch while drying.

I would shop for a de-frizzing gel. The gel will help to keep it looking wet, and the de-frizzing will - well, it will de-frizz it.

Your perm should have grown out from a few years ago, though.

Most guys like their women to be shaved or closely trimmed (maybe a heart, arrow or thin "landing strip")so I'm surprised you went with the perm! Try a complete shave and letting it grow back in. Hope this helps!

Use gel, not mousse. Mousse helps in straight hair, gives **volume** (hint hint, that's why your hair is getting frizzy) and gel keeps styles controlled.

There's a shampoo called Wash 'n' Curl. I think that's what it's called. You can find it with other shampoos at your local WalMart or Meijer and probably Kroger, too. Try it.
