He might feel more awkward with a man therapist, or at least my husband would, but I would feel awkward with him having a woman therapist and since I'm selfish I guess, I'd give him the man. Ha! Unless it was an old woman or something. I'm jealous.

You could just leave it up to chance - a massage is a massage. Although, some guys might feel uncomfortable being massaged by another man - so if you are going to choose you might wanna pick a female masseuse.

why would you want to give your bf a massage gift certificate? women are better at massaging. a lot of people will tell you to let the woman do it. so, are you testing him? i think it'll be better if you learn how to massage and surprisingly bless him with your skills.
