The bay window - or "stabbing viewing platform" as we call it. We've been called upon to provide tea and cookies for the forensic boys before now, it's like having cable only cheaper.

I have a red velvet couch. That has become a focal point of my living room and I have spent about 4 years picking out the best shade of yellow to paint the space. I don't spend a lot of time in my parlour as I have a nice green family room to lounge about in.
I finally chose a shade of yellow that's in a framed picture for an art exhibit and is also in a tiffany type lamp(arts and crafts reproduction). I don't like to paint and repaint so I have to live in a place for a while to pick colours. It usually hinges around a piece of art but I did pick a trim colour from a plant pot one time.

It's a long room because it shares the dining room. I'd say it focuses on the middle of the living room which is an area rug. Otherwise I have a painting. We don't have a TV in the living room.

The fireplace. Unfortunately, my fiance's tv & stereo compnents are starting to become the new focal point. But, I am on the lookout for a vintage armoire to put all of it in.

Well the focal point of the room is the huge bookcase that holds the "plasma tv." Oops....that's right. You don't have one yet. *cough* But it is humongoid so it's hard not to look at it when you walk in the room. Everything......I mean everything is dwarfed in comparison. Including my one little...........candle.

Currently, it's the baby prison.

That's what we call it, the baby prison. It's a gift we got at the twins' first year party---It's sort of an indoor play area fence. My wife's mom got it for us, and it has been something of a life saver when we can convince the babies that going in there will be a fun thing. It *IS* a fun place---All the best toys are in there. *I* think of sneaking in it sometimes.

Fireplace that is seldom used, and a new edition to the recently remodeled (overdue) room is a heavy (this I know), closed armoire that hides the TV.

A not so "humongoid" tv. Don't know why its the 'center of attention'....its hardly ever watched. The only thing less entertaining than television these days is watching paint dry......wait,....sorry...you may be doing that soon!

My couch and loveseat. Found one that I had been looking for for years and it is perfect. It definitely takes over the room.
