Take a course in abnormal psychology and you can come away convinced that you're totally crazy. But if you think you're crazy, you probably are not. It's when you think you are sane that you need to worry.

its the ones that don't think they're psychotic that actually are!
Questioning your own mental status is very common, especially in abusive relationships. Evaluate your situation, and decide whether or not you may need to talk to someone. Sounds like you may. Not that you're crazy, but that you need to work some things out so that you're more comfortable with decisions you're making.

Depending on the time of day, I question my sanity and my reality. I was pretty sure I was handicapped, psychotic, schizophrenic and so on, not so long ago. Now I've been told I'm not, I still don't believe it though. The alternative is worse.

If you know you are not, then why do you feel like you are? Maybe the part of you that knows you are not, is wrong. What a mess. Your Dr. can help you get things back to normal. Good luck.

If a person has had a psychotic break or is experiencing psychosis it can be very frightening for them. Sometimes they are too "sick" to tell.

my voice in my head tells me I am psychotic all the time

I think it's natural for people to have moments of psychosis... it's how they deal w/ such moment that separates the crazies from everyone else.

Whenever you spend too much time around unstable people (nuts) you begin to feel unstable (nutty) as well.
