Actually the answer to your question is yes and no.....
When the initial paperwork is issued for an inmate that wants to receive visits....all personal information is ran through the state and federal government to see if the person who will visit has any felony charges..past or present.....
Once the paperwork has been completed by the institution and a paper is sent to you letting you know whter or not you are able to visit another background check will not be completed ...unless the prison deems it necessary...normally if all rules and regualtions are followed during the visitation...you will not have to worry about the officers at the institute bothering you....or any further paperwork that will have to be completed....
So basically, no the prison will not check after the initial paperwork to see if you have a warrant for your arrest....

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aMwCU
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Depending on the prison there are some checks, however if you have a warrant out for you i suggest not going to a prison period. Mostly in maximum security prisons they check but any prison can check your record.

No they do not check for warrants when visiting someone in prison. They just check to make sure the photo I.D. matches who you are.

They do in Arizona! In Maricopa County, Arizona (Phoenix metro) area is goes beyond that.
If you visit anyone at county jail you have your name checked for warrants. To make things worse, you cannot EVER visit an inmate in county jail if you havve EVER been in the county jail.
Mind you you don't have to be guilty of anything, you just have to have been arrested even if you were just cited and released.
I think maybe you need to check with the courts to see how you correction this situatioon.
