Like the man said..anytime. I have played in the snow, and then drove down to Phoenix and went swimming in the same day. In the summer you should try some tubing down the Verde or Salt river. During the winter try camping out near the river and do some fishing. There are so many things to do there during different parts of the year it's awesome.

If you want someplace warm in winter, winter is a good time to visit. If you are planning to see the Grand Canyon, summer is best - in winter there are sometimes thick clouds that obscure the view of the canyon. The altitude near Flagstaff is about 7000 feet so, year round, it's much cooler than Phoenix and Tucson.

i saw 118 degrees in early june the year i lived there so unless u like the extreme heat and want to cook on the concrete, summer is not the time.

Whenever it's not 120s degrees, but it's dry heat so it's really not that bad. I would suggest during the winter or early spring.

Winter time ,,,,, in the summer it is very hot...... that is why the people that come in the winter are called snow birds......
