we're thinking of going seven days out of Galveston and I'm afraid that I'll be bored when we're not in port. Is the top deck topless?

I have cruised with RCI 4 times, including the one departing from Galveston. I seriously don't think you'll be bored, there is way too much going on to be bored! No, the top deck is not topless by the way.

Royal Caribbean ships are great; I have been on 3 of their cruises and have 2 more booked for this year. RC is mainly for people who have cruised before and are more mature, like 35 and up. The first time cruisers, and those in the 20 to 35 age group, usually go on Carnival ships, that's why they call them the "fun ships".

The food on RC is better and so is the service. Most cruise lines go to the same ports so what you get to do on your cruise may differ only by whats going on while you are onship. Most ships have the same things to do, like Casino, shows at night before and after dinner, a disco, and other entertainment every day and night. They will keep you busy.

When you book a cruise you can look at the port stops and decide what interesting and excitng things you want to do in a port. Or you can just stay on ship and chill.

You can have as much or as little fun as you want.

I went on Serenade of the Seas and it was suprisingly nice. A much higher class of people than Carnival, better food options, and plenty or activites. If you are worried about 'at sea' time, then try to book a cruise with very little of it. We had a track, a gym, a rock wall, shows, food (of course), sundecks, pools, libraries, and all kinds of stuff. Most cruise lines really try to satisfy as many people as possible during travel days as they know that they can easily go stir crazy!

Our top deck was optional topless, I believe. But, it wasn't secured or regulated, so I wouldn't do it - too many lookie loos.

royal carribbean is the BEST! um noooo i dont think its a topless cruiseline... but its still very fun! theres a rock climbing wall on every ship. on the biggest ships there is an iceskating rink! great food, great shows, also a fantastic ice show! the service on the ship is wonderful, we had an awesome cabin steward and a fabulous waitress. also if u have chops grille or portofinos on ur ship try it!!! the food is better than a five star restaruant in the united states! on our ship it was only 15 dollars a person for portofinos and the price is worth it. the Freedom of the Seas is the largest cruise ship afloat if u wanna try that one. it is also the newest, having only set sail this month. idk if it has even set sail yet!! hope u try rcl and have a great time!!!

Oh my goodness! I absolutely love RCL!! My parents and I have been on 2 cruises with them and can't wait to go back for our third. We were wowed each time we went. My suggestion: do as much as you possibly can on board the ship! And ABSOLUTELY NOT TOPLESS on any part of the RCL ships! And thank you, Jesus for that. If you want topless, you will have to go to Carnival!

They are very nice! Especially the newer boats. Stay away from the Sovreign Family of ships! Their old. They adventures are cool. they vary by place but are all awesome. You should go! Its fun for kids and adults, unlike the Disney cruises.

THE BEST!!! I am about to go on one next week. Second one in ten months. They are wonderful. If you looking for something really reasonable - Majesty of the Seas 5 day to the Bahamas.
