I think that a 13 and 18 year old would really enjoy Royal Caribbean. I think it is probably one of the best lines for those ages. They have activities that will interest older kids, and Freedom of the Seas is going to have tons for them.
It is an amazing ship. Here are a few sites that you may enjoy:

Hope this helps!

i think cruises are for ppl 6 or 7 and up... there is fun for everyone... but you dont want to drag too little kids around everywhere you go... so that is why i say about 7. Freedom of the seas is supposed to rock the world... it is the newest... it has a wave rider on it and it had i think everything mariner of the seas has on it but it is bigger and better than ever! to be 18 on a cruise would be great cause they can do alot of things including i think drinking beer and wine if a parent signs a waver( im pretty sure on that ) but if not they will still have a great time with the shows and the kids groups that they have so they can be with their own age kids... mostly differs from 3 years of age...(i think the group is 15-18

The Freedom of the Seas is being launched this June, not sure of the exact date. So there is no knowledge base on it. However, we are booked on it for November this year for their Western Caribbean cruise and I will know more after then
All crusie ships have activities for everyone. Usually there are staff assigned to help entertain the teenagers on ship. There are things like arcades, basketball courts, mini-golf, table tennis, and the rock climbing wall, and special areas just for kids.
This new RC ship is supposed to have a water ski/surfing area on board (take a look at the RC web site and click on the "ships" tab and then select the Freedom to see what it has.) Aside from that, the port stops will offer things that kids like to do, like go to the beach for swimming, snorkeling, scuba and other water sports. Depending on the trip there could also be things like bike rides, horseback rides, and other things that kids would enjoy. You can also look online at the port tours for your cruise to see if there are things your kids would like..

We've done family reunion cruises for up to 17 people ranging in age from 80 to 2 months (I know, but I was a new mother and thought I could handle it!). All the kids have always had a great time. My "baby" is now 16 and can't wait for our next family cruise!
