This is very tough, but you have to take action. Communication is key here. There are a lot of issues at hand here ~ morals, birth control, std's, love, lust, teen pregnancy etc. Do Get in touch with your local family planning clinic. They can help with information, contraception etc. The best place to start though is by keeping the communication lines with your child OPEN. Don't let the awkward moment you have both experienced prevent you from dealing with this issue head on. On other fronts, work with your child on Goals and plans for the future. Encourage your child to get involved in activities with others, that don't involve being alone with others of the opposite sex. This issue is of great importance to you, your child is lucky to have an understanding parent to help them through this difficult and confusing time. Best wishes.

No matter what age, it is obviously time to talk about sex and birth control. They need to learn the difference between sex and being in love and intimate.
They also need to make sure that at this point it is time for condoms. Don't be niave to think once they start they will just stop. The condoms are needed so that they don't get an STD.

How old are you talking? Anything under 16 or 17, I would kill them.

If it is your son, you say good job son, just make sure you wear a rubber. If it is your daughter, well I hope you know where to hide a body....
For the terminally stupid out there, that was meant as a joke....

Well, then it depends on how u feel about it. Are you okay with your child having sex? Then make sure they are having protected sex. Not okay? You need to make them break up with their gf/bf, and talk to them about STDs and pregnancy.
Good luck!

Faint, scream, run, cry. Who know what I would do. I don't even want to imagine that happening.
