One of my cats likes to drag the water bowl all over the kitchen so I had to start anchoring it down just so they would have water to drink while I was gone. She also scoops all the food out of the dish before she will eat any. Try the spray bottle technique to teach him not to chew on the wires. There is really no explanation to "why" he does what he does except he is an active cat. Good luck.

Just try to keep the wires tight. When they see something kind of hanging, that draws their attention. But the best thing is to slice a lemon, and rub the wires with it. Cats hate it. Of course you will have to repeat the treatment every three or four days so the smell is fresh. They will leave your wires alone.

Well, maybe your cat is not well trained. Try spraying him with water everytimes he does something bad. My cat was chewing on the wires when I tryed to play Mario. I just bought a spray bottle and sprayed him when he did that. Then, in about 3 days he stopped. He would run on my lap and stay with me when I played Mario now.

One of my cats likes to play with his water bowl, and spill it all over.
He also likes to scoop dry cat food out of the dish, and chase it around the kitchen floor before he eats it, piece by piece.
He likes to drop dry cat food into the water bowl (I have to give the cats fresh water FREQUENTLY) :-))
He would also chew on wires, if I would let him. I speak to him sternly, and if that doesn't work, I squirt him with a spray bottle.
Why? you ask?
LOL Because he is a cat, I guess.

my cat chews on stuff too....and he will carry socks from the laundry room downstairs and bring them to me upstairs while meowing very loudly and strangely. he is a very strange cat. also does alot of other weird stuff....about the water thing....cats are clean freaks....if there is the smallest thing in their water they often wont drink it. for the longest time my cat would only drink water from the bathroom sink....while the water was running.
