Have you ever heard of Cheez Wizz balls? I read if you mix flour and the cheese, roll it into little dough balls slip one of these balls onto yr hook and let them dry. I was told these things catch any freshwater fish. Let me know please.

That would really depend on what you were fishing for, but the standard worm on a hook is fairly reliable to just catch a fish. Just pinch a sinker on the line and put a bobber a foot or two above it and give 'er a go.

It all depends what you are fishing for, but in general, live bait. Live minnows or shad would be your best all around bait. Put the hook just below the back bone of the bait, and it will keep moving in the water, making it even more effective.

ill give you the only answer to this ques.you learn to fish by asking questions.whenever you go fishing ask the locals whats biting.then ask what baits work.they will give you the varities that work on that species in those waters.this holds true on different bodies of water and will change fromm area to area and specie to specie.in time you will gain enough knowledge about the sport and you will be giving advice instead of asking.trust me i started asking at 8 yrs old im 58 now.gathered tons of knowledge this way.incidently i dont ask anymore unless i venture to unknown waters.then i tap the locals advice

it depends on what your fishing for...
if its catfish then use chicken liver,it is the best, you can also use live perch (still alive but hurt) for the bigger ones.you can also use bread, peanut butter, with vanila flavoring (works real well with catfish and carp (carp are nasty to eat but fun to catch, hell of a fight) use any stink bait, the ball kind dipped in the wet kind...very nasty (use examining gloves)
other kinds such as bass and crappie:
best to use live minnows and shad for the bigger fish such as strippers. worms work as well but for me they dont do as goos a job....remember when you get 1 bass or crappie, there are more around that same area...with crappie my favorie way is:
one small bobber and 1 hook...no weights (unless your fishing deep) becasue the minnow can free swim and the crappie loves that...
most of my bigger bass was caought on jigs...never on plastic worms...i have never caught anything on a worm...also try spinners and remeber just because your not getting a strike with one certain lure doesnt measn theres no fish there...try several of any lure until you find that strike...

good luck...catch one for me

and when you go always carry a string with a hand towel on the end,tie it off and throw it in the water,so when you need to wipe your hands you have yourself something to wipe with (works great) and if your hands get nasty from all the stink bait and fish smell, wash your hands with toothpaste works wonders...

i have many more tips but it'll cost ya

one more: when you hook your minnow always hook him under the chin and make it come out right by the eye...never hook them in the tail...when fish strike 90% of the time they go for the head and plus it keeps them alive longer and they can swim better for more attraction

No, I can't because I think it depends on what kind of fish you are after and where you are fishing. Me, I'm a river or lake fisher and like big, old nightcrawler worms. Go to a bait shop and they'll fill you in on what you need to know.

I can usually tell what bait to use due to water color and conditions and what type of fish I'm fishing for. The main rule of thumb is to try to match what the fish you are fishing for are eating, crawfish, shad,in the occean usually schrimp or blood worm work. good luck and if you need more info drop me a line. at bmck33@yahoo.com

Not really. I guess it all depends on where you fish first. Lake or sea. If lake they love crickets. They hit those really more that anything. For catfish liver, worms, and minnos. For bass minnos and worms also crickets. For deep sea fishing don't know never tried it. Wanted to but never have.

depending on what type of fish your fishing for..Worms or Minnows are the best. I use whole kernel corn from green giant, the kernels are big enough to slide about 5 of them on your hook but you have to be careful not to cast it to hard or they will fling off in mid cast. corn catches alot of bass and alot of pan fish

Good old fashioned earthworms are usually the norm, but my father in law has caught some nice size trout by using canned corn.

I like using powerbait to catch trout, but I prefer stinkbait when fishing for catfish.
