Without the shedding of blood there will be no forgiveness of sins. Hmn. If those who once practiced offering animals to God don't believe in Christ, I'd like to know why they aren't still?

Jesus Christ may not even be real. I feel sorry for those who believe in crap like that. If he really died for us that's too bad cause we did not ask him too. If he chose to die for us that just goes to show the man was not normal

It was a symbol of an eternal sacrafice. The jews would have to sacrafice a lamb or a goat to be absolved of their sin for a year etc. The sacrafice of Jesus was enough then to cover everyone forever.

We are no longer under the law to try to gain favor with God. You are under grace. Free and saved whether you know or like it.

Because He loves us! We are all guilty of sin. Our perfect and Holy God created us to be perfect also. When we failed He had to devise a way for us to become perfect again. That's why He came to earth as a man, a sinless and perfect man. He took all our sins on His sinless self. The punishment for sin is death. He took the blame, the sin, and took the punishment too. That way when we trust Him to save us, believe that He took the sin and the punishment in our place, we can be declared Not Guilty! Because now we are His children, we can have security in knowing we have a home with Him forever, here on earth or in eternity. We are eternal, and he has promised we will always be with Him. That's the good it did.

Because he was the equivalent to an animal sacrifice.

Why some all powerful creator God would require humans to sacrifice animals is beyond me, but that's what the Jesus myth claims.

Nor does it explain why this mythical all powerful creator couldn't just wave his magic wand and forgive sin.

The bible is nonsense. What is amazing is why otherwise intelligent people accept it as truthful, factual or accurate.

Jesus Christ died for us because he had to pay the price for our sins. If he hadn't have died for us, he would just be like any other prophet, except he wasn't...he was God in the flesh. Yes, Jesus died for us, but the most important thing is that he was resurrected.

The life of Gods Son showed and taught us how to live. The death of Gods Son Jesus saved us from the curse brought on by Adam.

He died for us because he loved us. That's the only explanation. The good it did was to give us a chance at redemption. all we have to do is believe that he was fully God, and fully man, that he lived a perfect life, without sin, and that he died on the cross as payment for our sins, and that he rose again on the third day, defeating death.

He died for us because he loves us. He wanted all of us to spend eternity in Heaven with him , even though we are sinners and do not deserve forgiveness. If we ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus into our heart, we can be forgiven and can spend eternity in heaven with God. And we can walk with God everyday here on earth.
That is pretty good stuff if you ask me!

Jesus died to show that he was a man, flesh and blood like all people. His death was to show that he could die just like the rest of us, and that conversly, the rest of us could live our lives as he did.
