Today being 06-06-06 I thought it was good to ask this question. How will people really know what the number 666 really means?

Thank you for your responses. I know that 666 represents the number of the beast, I was trying to figure out who the beast was. I know it's the devil reborn, anti-christ, but who is the specific human being. Also telling me to read revelations, I have read and re-read that numerous of times.

It's the number of the beast, that every unsaved believer will have to take in order to survive after the rapture. It is the number of Beelzebub. We don't know why that number, but then again, why is the number of God 7? Somethings, we'll never know until we're at the feet of Jesus.

It is a reflection to the identifier of the mark of the beast that will be on the world scene throughout the tribulation. However, as a Christian, I'm not concerned with the mark of the beast, as I won't be here, I'll be resurrected!

Its the mark of the beast. Basically, its the sign of the devil and his menions. Read the book of Revelations in the Bible for more indepth information..

666 is not the number of the beast in the bible it says it is the number that will be shown on the skin of all of satans followers during the apocolypse. therefore 666 really refers to the followers of satan not satan himself.

Interestingly enough some early versions of revelations state the number is 616
its to do with gematria
