I wrestled for six years and now train multiple styles. I box and kick box which don't have have belts. I've been doing them on and off for a combined total of about a year.
I'm also training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I only trained for a few months before I left the states, so the only belt given to me by a true instructor was a white belt. I spar now with friends that are higher in rank so I'm still learning, but there's no one here to progress me through the belts. I'm not worried about it, though. Belts are for holding up pants. Combining my wrestling experience with what I've been learning has made me pretty good, even if I'm still a white belt.

I started in Tae kwon Do my Instructor Incorporated Hap Ki Do into what we were learning from TKD and eventually switched over to HKD
I am a fourth degree black belt in TKD
third in HKD
Been training for ten years and still learning

My husband did kung fu kenpo mix for 5 or six years and is a second degree brown belt, he just switched a couple of weeks ago to the ed parker style of kenpo. he loves it. he has started teaching me a little and it is really cool. he also teaches his son.
