A lot of people buy Iams thinking it is good for their animal. In reality it is full of fillers. My personal judgment is......If you can buy it in stores like Wal-Mart or your local grocer......AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!
Do research about the different foods that are out there, talk to your vet about what they recommend, talk to breeders and show trainers. Those are the best ones to tell you what to feed your pet.

Good question for a vet. I used to work for one and he liked Iams and Science Diet. They said don't feed canned food because it contains ash, this will cause a pet to have kidney stones. Alot of people are going to home fed, but if you pay attention to the label and see whats in it you do want it to be natural foods, like real meat and veggies that we eat.

iams has something in it to make animals love it but it does serious damage to your pet. Do you and your pet a favor, don't buy it.

I would not feed my dogs any dogfood that has garbage in it like corn products and any kind of by product. You want a food that has alot of meat ingredients. Some dogs are sensitive to chicken, wheat, corn and even soy. Check the ingredients on all dog foods and do a comparison.
