Yes because every since 9/11 they have become more strict about warrants because they don't really want to take a risk at terrorism.........SO you should just go get your name cleared and do the time for you minor crime...

There is a national watch list. Some people who are very innocent have a name match and sometimes even a birthday. In all the years of checking passengers in I have never run across a person who had a minor violation that got caught. The ones I witnessed were either on the terror threat list or people that were on probabtion that were not allowed to leave the state and were a flight risk, or something along those lines. But if they wanna find you, they will enter you into the system and you will be arrested on site. What the agency does is there is a national organization that notifies the airlines. The airline then locks the reservation so that the agent has to call to clear the reservation or the person on the phone will put them on hold and notify the authorities at the airport. If your violation was major and they considered you a flight risk, they would notify the agency and every source of public transportation would be on watch for matching reservations.
If your violation was minor, like a traffic ticket or something, book using your middle name. Its still part of your legal name. Most importantly, clear up the infraction. Some people go years with out even knowing they had a warrant for something like failure to appear in court or pay a fine for speeding and find out a the worst possible time.
